The Iranian market welcomes new hygiene products from Germany

Two well-known brands, Jean Carol and Cosmea, are set to enter the Iranian personal care market.

Engineer Saeed Maleknia, CEO of Tamin Darou Tehran, announced the news, stating: “Jean Carol and Cosmea are reputable brands under the German company Pelz, which dates back to 1948.”

He added: “In 1961, Jean Carol revolutionized the shopping experience by introducing products in transparent packaging, allowing customers to see and assess product quality before purchase.”

Maleknia further noted that in 1983, Pelz took a major step toward improving women's health and hygiene by launching feminine hygiene pads under the Cosmea brand. In 2004, the company also obtained the license to produce the global Q-tips brand from Unilever.

The CEO emphasized that features such as 100% natural cellulose and pure cotton fabric, chlorine-free bleaching processes for skin and environmental safety, neutral pH, lint-free design, and suitability for daily use on all skin types are among the key qualities of Jean Carol and Cosmea products.

It is worth mentioning that Jean Carol’s current product portfolio includes various types of makeup remover pads and cotton swabs (for adults and children), while Cosmea’s range includes daily sanitary pads and tampons (available in three types). These two brands will be exclusively distributed in Iran by Tamin Darou Tehran, a subsidiary of Hitco Holding (Tamin Sarmaye Salamat).
