The 35th Pediatric Diseases Congress and the 21st Pediatric Nursing Congress were held from the 25th to the 28th of Aban, 1402, with the aim of increasing awareness among healthcare professionals about common issues in pediatric medicine and the latest medical achievements. The event took place in person at the Children’s Medical Center in Tehran. In addition to medical updates, the congress focused on presenting the experiences and specialized opinions of child health experts, as well as highlighting the role of artificial intelligence and cell therapy technology in pediatric medicine.
Recognizing the necessity of collaboration between nursing and medical sectors in providing services, improving child health, and promoting this collaboration, the congress was divided into two sections. This allowed nursing staff the opportunity for retraining in pediatric medicine and the chance to exchange scientific experiences with each other and medical colleagues. Over 1500 specialized physicians in pediatric diseases actively participated in this program.
Dr. Younes Panahi, the Deputy Minister of Research and Technology at the Ministry of Health, described the Children’s Medical Center as one of the major referral centers for sick children and emphasized its high capabilities in education, research, and services, being a comprehensive scientific hub for pediatric medicine.
Dr. Panahi continued by stating that, based on research conducted in the research department, a research network for children has been established in this hospital. This enables colleagues to collaborate with 31 research centers in the field of children’s health throughout the country, contributing to the development of education, research, and services in pediatric medicine.
Emphasizing disease prevention, Dr. Panahi highlighted that preventive measures, including screening, monitoring, and evaluating genetic, non-communicable diseases, and mental health, are part of the Children’s Medical Center’s policy.
