The International Congress on Endocrine and Metabolic Diseases was held at Shahid Beheshti University.
The fourteenth International Congress on Endocrine and Metabolic Diseases took place from the 1st to the 3rd of Azar (November 22-24) at the Abureihan Biruni Hall of Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran. The congress was organized by the Iranian Society of Endocrinology, in collaboration with the Endocrinology and Metabolism Research Institute of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences.
Rasta Imen Darou Company, a subsidiary of the Health Investment Tamin Company, participated as one of the main supporters in this event. The “Active” brand’s products, Man and Woman, were unveiled for the first time at this congress. Additionally, two products, Cholestrol and Apometformin, from this company were introduced to physicians and specialists.
During the opening ceremony of the congress, Dr. Younes Panahi, the Deputy Minister of Research and Technology at the Ministry of Health, announced that over the past 10 years, Iran’s position in the field of endocrine disease knowledge production has risen to rank 10th globally and first in the region. Dr. Alireza Zali, the President of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, identified obesity as the most prevalent endocrine disease in Iran with a 70% prevalence.
