The second edition of the end-of-year drug conference, titled “All Together for a Better Future,” was held on Thursday, February 23, at the College of Pharmacy, Tehran University of Medical Sciences.
In this event, sponsored mainly by the Hitco Holding, two panels on “Governance Considerations” and “Investment Considerations” in the pharmaceutical industry were conducted with the participation of invited experts in related fields.
Emphasis was placed on the necessity of optimizing the structural aspects of the pharmaceutical industry, the importance of examining various governance scenarios, and the need to utilize new financial tools for financing the pharmaceutical industry. Among the key focuses of the event were discussions on the ups and downs of investments in the pharmaceutical and health industry in the past year, as well as an exploration of the outlook for the coming year, particularly concentrating on governance topics.
In this conference, pharmaceutical professionals and opinion leaders, while reviewing the fluctuations in investment in the pharmaceutical and health industry in the past year, also deliberated on the prospects for the upcoming year, with a specific focus on governance issues.
Dr. Mahmoud Najafi Arab, the head of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, was introduced as the Drug Personality of the Year due to his contributions to the development of pharmaceutical and health governance in the country. Additionally, Dr. Fatemeh Atiyabi, Dr. Naghmeh Nasr, Dr. Ebrahim Hashemi, and Dr. Ali Montaseri were among the other notable figures in the pharmaceutical industry who were acknowledged during the end-of-year drug event.
