In the second edition of the end-of-year drug conference, appreciation was extended to five active and pioneering figures in the pharmaceutical industry.
The End-of-Year Medicine Conference for the year 2023, held on the 22th February with the support of the Hitco Holding, concluded by introducing the Drug Personality of the Year and honoring four distinguished figures in this industry.
During the introduction of the Medicine Personality of the Year, Dr. Mahmoud Najafi Arab, the head of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, received the plaque and statue as the Medicine Personality of the Year 2023.
Pharmaceutical activists highlighted qualities such as “decision-making power, diligence in achieving goals, organizational and responsibility management, belief in collective and organizational work, avoidance of factional attitudes in specialized decisions, emphasis on long-term decisions, and avoiding the scattering of individuals and groups” in the selection of Najafi Arab.
Dr. Fatemeh Atiyabi, a faculty member of the School of Pharmacy at Tehran University of Medical Sciences and one of the top one percent scientists globally, was among those honored at this conference. Recognition was attributed to her “innovative research projects and a lifetime of value creation in the scientific and research field of the pharmaceutical industry.”
As part of the appreciation for the personnel of the Food and Drug Organization, Dr. Naghmeh Nasr, the head of the Registration and Evaluation Department of this organization, was acknowledged. Pharmaceutical activists praised Dr. Nasr as “a strong, stable, knowledgeable, and ethically oriented support for the pharmaceutical ecosystem of the country.”
In this conference, Dr. Ebrahim Hashemi, a pioneer in the pharmaceutical distribution industry, was also honored for his “management measures during financial crises, spirit of cooperation, and professional activities.” Additionally, Dr. Ali Montaseri, a pioneer in the pharmaceutical industry, was recognized for being “one of the innovators in various fields of pharmaceuticals, from planning to education.”
